What does a Product Compliance Executive Do?
You will be responsible for managing product compliance, certification, and regulatory reporting across global markets, including the UAE, KSA, UK, and EU. This role ensures that all products meet local and international regulatory requirements, maintain valid certifications, and comply with platform and regional quality standards. You will act as the first point of contact for compliance and certification matters in the Middle East region, while also supporting wider global compliance initiatives. The role involves working closely with suppliers, testing laboratories, and internal teams to ensure full adherence to market regulations, as well as supporting quality investigations and documentation accuracy across all product categories. This position requires strong attention to detail, technical understanding, and excellent communication skills to coordinate with cross-border teams and regulatory authorities.

Role & Responsibilities
Product Compliance & Certification Management
Manage and maintain UAE (ECAS, G-Mark) and KSA (SABER, G-Mark) certifications for new and existing products, ensuring timely renewals, accurate submissions, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Liaise with certification bodies and third-party laboratories to coordinate required testing and approvals.
Compile and maintain Product Technical Files (PTFs) and supporting compliance documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
Review and verify supplier documentation, including test reports, declarations, and safety certificates, to ensure continued compliance.
Ensure certification, testing, and documentation requirements are built into product development timelines.
Maintain organised, traceable records of all certifications, declarations, test reports, and technical files.
Support internal and external audits by ensuring documentation is complete, accessible, and aligned with governance standards.
Regulatory Compliance Monitoring
Track regulatory developments across UAE, KSA, UK, EU, and other key markets, assessing their impact on the product range and identifying required actions.
Support the Head of Compliance in maintaining oversight of global regulatory obligations and escalating changes or risks when needed.
Act as a point of contact for certification and regulatory queries relating to UAE and KSA frameworks.
Contribute to global compliance activities, including documentation reviews and regulatory assessments for market expansion and product introductions.
E-Commerce Compliance
Prepare and submit action plans for Amazon and other e-commerce compliance investigations, including listing suspensions and documentation requests.
Ensure all products sold online meet required safety, compliance, and certification standards.
Environmental Compliance (EPR)
Lead EPR reporting across the UK and EU, including WEEE, Battery, and Packaging obligations.
Collate, analyse, and interpret product and packaging data to produce accurate regulatory submissions.
Submit all required data to relevant authorities within deadlines and maintain accurate datasets for audit readiness.
Work with internal teams and suppliers to gather and verify required information.
Review and assess packaging materials to identify opportunities for reducing waste, plastic usage, and environmental impact, implementing improvements with relevant teams.
Quality Support & Investigation
Analyse product complaints, returns, and performance data to identify trends, recurring issues, and potential risks.
Lead investigations with suppliers and internal teams to determine root causes and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Provide structured quality and compliance insights to support continuous improvement initiatives and inform product performance reviews.
Work with Product Development, Purchasing, and Quality teams to integrate regulatory and quality requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
Artwork Review & Management
Provide regulatory input during the creation and update of packaging, labelling, and artwork to ensure all mandatory information, warnings, symbols, and certification marks are included in line with applicable regulations and supporting test reports.
Review existing packaging, labelling, and artwork during product renewals and regulatory updates to ensure all information remains accurate and aligned with current regulations, test results, and certification requirements, coordinating any necessary changes with Design, QA, and suppliers.
Refurbishment Instructions
Create, review, and maintain refurbishment instructions across the product range, ensuring processes meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Liaise with Quality teams and suppliers to ensure technical accuracy and alignment with current product specifications.
Partner with Operations to ensure refurbishment processes are applied consistently and effectively.
Monitor refurbished product performance, including return rates and recurring issues, to identify improvement areas.
Update refurbishment SOPs, guidance, and documentation based on performance data and operational feedback.
Customer Care Support
Support Customer Care in reviewing and resolving escalated product issues, coordinating with internal teams as necessary.
Provide day-to-day support to Customer Care by supplying accurate technical and compliance information.
Help maintain a comprehensive product knowledge database to ensure customer-facing teams have up-to-date, reliable information.
Skills & Experience Required
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline is required.
3-5 years’ experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or quality assurance within the consumer goods or electrical appliance sector.
Strong knowledge of UAE and KSA certification processes, including ECAS, SABER, and G-Mark, is highly advantageous.
Familiarity with international standards such as CE, UKCA, RoHS, and FDA regulations is advantageous.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, including formula-based data manipulation and analysis.
Strong ability to interpret technical product specifications and regulatory documentation.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
Experience coordinating with third-party laboratories and certification authorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Experience communicating effectively with suppliers and manufacturers in Asia.
Experience collaborating with international teams and an understanding of cultural nuances that affect communication and workflows.
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and maintain high-quality standards.
Commercial mindset with the ability to balance quality assurance with business priorities, considering cost, timelines, and overall product strategy to align decisions with company goals.
