National Account Manager (Consumer Goods)
Role Overview:
We are looking for a driven and commercially sharp National Account Manager to lead the charge on growing our offline B2B global sales. This is a new, standalone role with a laser focus on winning new business across a broad range of sectors, including retail, housing, healthcare, education, hospitality, and local government.
This is not a role with a big team or layers of support - you will be fully hands-on, building pricing models, creating sales decks, developing proposals, and managing client engagement end-to-end. You will be at the forefront of opening doors, pitching with impact, and converting opportunities into long-term commercial partnerships.
The role offers the scope to make a direct, measurable impact on the trajectory of our B2B division. You will be a key player in establishing One Retail Group as the partner of choice for organisations seeking practical, market-leading products that improve everyday life, from retailers in the USA, UK, and Europe to organisations making a difference in communities.

Key Responsibilities:
New Business Development & Market Growth
- Proactively identify, prospect, and convert new business opportunities across retail, housing, healthcare, education, hospitality, and local government.
- Build tailored pricing plans, business cases, and compelling proposals from scratch to win new clients.
- Lead sales expansion across the USA, UK, and Europe, driving ambitious growth targets.
- Develop and execute a commercially focused growth strategy in partnership with the leadership team.
Client Engagement & Relationship Building
- Build trust-based relationships with new accounts while strengthening ties with existing partners.
- Create and deliver impactful slide decks and presentations that communicate the value of our product range.
- Provide outstanding service to ensure client satisfaction, retention, and repeat business.
Sales Execution & Negotiation
- Manage the full sales cycle independently, from research and outreach through to pitching, negotiation, and closing.
- Take ownership of contract negotiations, balancing strong commercial outcomes with long-term relationship value.
- Represent One Retail Group at industry events, trade shows, and key client meetings.
Product & Market Expertise
- Become a subject-matter expert in our product portfolio and demonstrate its benefits across multiple sectors.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market shifts to identify and seize new opportunities.
- Collaborate with liquidators to maximise value from end-of-life products through smart clearance strategies.
Commercial Impact & Reporting
- Independently track, analyse, and report on sales performance to inform decision-making and refine strategy.
- Build dashboards and reporting tools as required, ensuring leadership has visibility of pipeline and performance.
- Suggest and implement improvements to make the B2B sales process more efficient and commercially effective.
Ideal Candidate:
- Hunter Mentality: 5+ years of proven B2B sales experience with a strong focus on winning new accounts and growing revenue.
- Self-Starter: Comfortable working in a standalone role, creating pricing models, sales materials, and proposals without heavy support.
- Proven Closer: Demonstrated ability to hit and exceed ambitious sales targets.
- Commercially Sharp: Strong understanding of consumer goods, electricals, or related sectors with a knack for spotting opportunities.
- Confident Communicator: Able to build rapport quickly, deliver persuasive pitches, and influence stakeholders across diverse industries.
- Entrepreneurial Drive: Thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, and takes full ownership of results.
- Independent but Collaborative: Works effectively on their own initiative, while engaging with colleagues to align on strategy and goals.
